Welcome to Wallhalla
We are Ing-Marie and Stig and we live here on the farm in Vännfors, about 30 minutes from Umeå. In the old Västerbotten farmhouse Gammgårn we have our home, and in the adjacent house we run Wallhalla Bed & Breakfast. Here you stay peacefully close to nature, with the garden, the forest and the countryside around the Vindel River very close by. Our goal is to create a place where you can relax, slow down and feel at home.
How Wallhalla started
It all started with the renovation of the old Västerbotten farm Gammgårn.
Your hosts
Ing-Marie
Ing-Marie usually meets the guests when they arrive at Wallhalla. She is sociable and caring, and enjoys creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Her interest in gardening and cultivation is noticeable everywhere.
In 2010, she chose to stop using standard cleaning products and began cleaning with Enjotex fibres and water. Since then, she also works with Enjoy.
Stig
Stig has previously worked as a professor of global health at Umeå University and has extensive experience in international work. He is still active in various projects and assignments. On the farm, he enjoys the peace and quiet and the closeness to nature. One of his favourite tasks is driving the lawnmower. He is happy to share stories from his travels with guests from different parts of the world.
