Handcrafted by local artisans in Västerbotten
Slöjdarnas Hus is a short drive from Wallhalla, beside the Vindelälven in Vännänget. Here, craftspeople from Vännäs and Västerbotten display and sell handmade pieces including jewellery, wooden bowls and utensils, woven textiles, ceramics and smaller everyday objects. Much of what you see is made locally and produced either as one-off pieces or in small series. Take your time as you walk around and pick something up for a closer look. See how fine silver threads are shaped into jewellery, how patterns are built up in woven textiles, or how form and glaze come together in the ceramics. It is easy to find yourself taking another look around before you leave.
