Getting there
It is approximately 40 kilometres from Wallhalla to Älgens Hus in Bjurholm and the journey takes about 45 minutes. You first drive towards Vännäs and onwards to Bjurholm. Älgens Hus is located in Balsjö, west of Bjurholm town centre. Follow the signs for the final stretch.

Get close to the tame moose
This is the highlight for many visitors. The moose are used to humans and you can get really close. It provides great photo opportunities and an experience that usually stays with you for a long time. Always listen to the guides' instructions and move calmly around the animals.
Watch the slide show about the life of the moose
The slide show about the life of the moose through four seasons is 18 minutes long and is shown in Swedish, English, Finnish and German. It is both beautiful and educational, and provides a wonderful introduction before meeting the moose.
Visit the museum with Clint's horn collection
The museum houses Clint's unique antler collection. The guided tour provides a better understanding of moose biology and why the antlers are so special.
Eat in the restaurant
The restaurant's venison stew is well-known and appreciated by many visitors. There is also other game-based food, a children's menu and local products such as moose cheese. Please arrive in good time, as the restaurant closes at 4 pm.

Weekends are often busier. Tuesdays to Thursdays tend to be quieter and allow more time with both the elks and the guides.
